The Crossing from the

Passing over silent vista

Vast distances to cross

An unhurried man will match the pace

Of the uncertain landscape to travel down to see you,

In secret circumstances to stand alone, untouched, except by longing

Feelings emerge, as vessels, carry you away into the forbidden

Hidden love laid down its arms to lust

The soft crust of restrain now broken, pouring over soft skin

Like rain on tin the refrain of sin crosses beyond the known

Beyond the everyday,

Beyond death.

“You never should have come here”

How were you to know of the implications of the dangerous destination

Between those arms.
