Betelgeuse, a star of spectral type M

Image via Wikipedia

Circular

The incessant regularity in which we find ourselves

Is dense

The magnitude of everyday

Unnoticed, unexamined

The Sun retreating behind the veil of the world

Or rising from its cradle

Encrusted with stars

Retaining echoes of the image moon

Waxing, waning

Swoon

Tripping over the expected

To wake us to a dreaming

Teaming with life

In desert land

A strand of hair

Slowly falling

Silent

What is there to understand about existence?

Why continue a journey?

Why start a journey?

New

True

Truth

Is

Sneaking past the barricades of the past

Truth is sneaking past the barricades of the past

Again

To be rebuilt

Again

To be destroyed

Again

To be forgotten

Again

To be...

Continued not necessarily in sequence

But in overlapping circles rippling

Against consciousness

Against time

The corridor of understanding

Time is patient

Waiting

Though nothing can wait

Time insisting

It can never stand still
