The night watch trilogy (and fourth follow up book Final Watch) has been one of the most interesting pieces of fantasy I have ever read. The story revolves around a rather hapless character called Anton Gorodetsky who one day discovers he is an Other. The Others are humans who have some form of magical powers with Anton being a Seer and low level magician.

Ineligiblebachelor.com is a great entertainment site newly established that has fantastic movie reviews of both new and old films. The site focuses on anything that is not a romantic comedy including zombie movies, action flicks and good old fashioned comedy.

If you are looking to get some inspiration for your writing or connect with other writers then One Stop Poetry has some great articles and interactive posts. The site features both photographers and writers with regular interviews and different themed days where poets and artists are invited to share their work. The blog has a great community behind it and a great team of writers and is a wonderful way for poets in particular to connect online.
