NewsDaily (2009-11-06) — Al Qaeda released a new videotape from its leader Osama bin Laden on Friday, said IntelCenter, a U.S.-based terrorism monitoring firm.

Editor: Been a while since we have heard from Osama. Apparently on the 6th of November he has released a new video, although is has been argued that this is old footage. It would appear that due to Bin Laden’s chronic health issues he would be either bed-ridden (having been on kidney dialysis machines) or more likely dead. Either way if he is unable to truly be ‘captured’ like Saddam Hussein it would appear he will become more of a figurehead and propaganda tool. The intelligence and military approach of ‘decapitation’ seems to have little or no effect on a terrorist organisation such as the cell based Al Qaeda.
