Strange that I would take a break from writing to do some more  writing but I don’t get to ‘speak’ to everyone on Twitter and Facebook as often as i should like. But I do have some great news as I am starting on a new novel which should be a lot of fun to write. Because I am writing so much these days I should be over to knock it over pretty quickly, or maybe not.

OK, so to bring some hype for it straight away it will be called:

A Happy One Year of Our Engagement

I am delighted to say that my engagement has hit one year today so I wanted to say a big happy anniversary to us, and also post a few romantic shots for Rachelyn, my fiance. She is someone that encourages me to do more, be more, and see more. Here are a couple of shots to say ‘I Love You’, and I can’t shout it from the rooftops or the neighbors will get mad, but I can tweet our love and ‘like’ it on Facebook too!

Top Ten Reasons to Not Write Top Tens

David Letterman

Many blog writers rely on stale ‘top ten’ articles to draw in readers, writing out a few words and filling out the rest of the article with a list of their top choices. While this seems like a good idea to gain readership you will find that many top ten articles are quite padded out with items. You will perhaps get an immediate response to writing top ten articles but if you are relying on only these types of articles you will find your writing will start to make your site or blog very repetitive.

Bringing Poetry to an Online Audience

Black and White photo river with stones and treesI have been publishing poetry online for a number of years now so I thought it would be a great time to celebrate the new site by sharing some insights. While many of you love to write and read poetry there are some tips that will bring your poetry a bigger audience and even give you a chance to put your own book together. In fact, all of my poetry audience is online as a ‘poet on the page’ but there are also opportunities for performance poets as well.
