When I was unwell you fed me and clothed me. When I was in hospital you came and visited me. When I was in pain you placed a hand upon my shoulder. I will always remember that if I get a chance to grow much older.

Though I could not speak before I hope you understand that I know none of our lives come with any plans. I do not know your story and you do not know mine. Though perhaps if we stop for a little bit we can take some time.

Don’t race ahead
Don’t lose yourself

Don’t have a hateful heart
To live your life in kindness
Is to take the narrow path

Humble ever humble
Is what I wanted to be for you
Bumble ever bumble
Is what you see me do

I’m not smart
Or rich at all
Though a wealth I do possess
I keep your words of kindness
In my heart
The treasure chest
